Q-1: How many votes does it take to pass a county council motion, a majority of those present at meeting or a majority of the body?
A-1: The answer is the majority of the body: four votes for most councils, five votes for St. Joseph County, and 15 for Marion County. You may find answers to many other questions via the Indiana State Board of Accounts County Bulletin website.
